New saksham welfare organisation began its work in 2015 with a drug de-addiction awareness camp in Zirakpur. The youth was the prime target of this camp and were educated about the perils of drug abuse and the harm and problems which it can cause. This initiative has been an on going process and NSWO has been working on bettering the lives of people affected by drugs/ alcohol. Along with this, NSWO has also taken upon themselves another most important task - providing education to the lower class / less fortunate of the society. This effort was taken up by our group in 2016 with the help of Saksham play school and saksham pathshaala and has been going on in Zirakpur Mohali.
Our team also deals with the welfare of women by educating them about their rights in the society and preventing their torture or mistreatment. We have a team of senior members who are being aided by our government to get justice for today's women. Women are trained in courses - like stitching of beauty parlor work- which makes them independent, confident and more capable at being self sufficient. In this crucial time of Corona, our sisters had an opportunity to earn some extra money by making face masks. These masks were later distributed
along with sanitisers - free of cost in the city of Chandigarh. Members of the NSWO were working towards the preservation of life during the lockdown and our members and founder Mrs. Pooja Brar were awarded CORONA WARRIOT CERTIFICATES.
NSWO workers also came together to provide dry ration to the people in need during the whole lockdown. About 75 food packages were prepared by the members every single day and delivered to the needy. The whole team of NSWO has been consistently working on education, female empowerment, drug de-addiction campaigns, swach bharat campaign and informing the people about the various government schemes since 2015. This organisation was registered in 2018 and for the last 4 years, warm clothes and blankets have been distributed to the less fortunate in the winters. MAHILA DIVAS is celebrated in march every year for the past 5 years to further encourage and boost the morale of women in the city. At the same level we organise skill based and sports based competitions for the children of tomorrow. We try our best to bring the children together so that they can know the good from the bad, the evils of society and one day become a positive influence to everyone.
Our organisation has worked with women suffering from social malpractice or pressures from their in laws by getting them legal aid for the past 5 years.Another major problem today is deforestation and to help with that our members have planted more than a 100 trees to bring about a greener, cleaner and better future. We have also organised events like bhajan, kirtan and gurbanis to make sure that the people and their faith stays strong and spirituality keeps them together. Sight is very important among the senses that god has gifted us and we have made sure that people across all ages are given the right medical care and information. Various free eye check ups have been organised for the people and free glasses have been donated tot the needy The world is a big place and for us it starts with the betterment of our city - our small world filled with happiness, health and safety for everyone. It is our continual effort and we are striving to make the society a better place while making sure that the sacraments (sanskar) are never forgotten. We are going to keep on working on such issues and our members have gone above and beyond to make our
plans a success and would continue to do so in the future also. We hope and pray that we get all the support we can as this mission of ours is for the people and by the people. May god give us the strength, sense and sensibility and the resilience to never give up and keep helping the society with everything that it needs. Our efforts wont stop and neither will we so let's come together to make the world - our world - our chandigarh a better place for you and for me.
From our side 2000/month Privilege Girls are being given sanitary pads through school and college, through Yuva Predna Abhiyan, awareness sessions are being run for girls/boys to stay away from drugs and sports to encourage children - jump competition

Charity means helping the hapless, the needy and the infirm in whatever way I can. That way, I can make them feel that they are not alone in this world.
We thank The New Saksham Welfare Organizations Foundation for creating this wonderful platform that we could trust, to provide scholarships to the bright young children.
Hunger is not a natural disaster but man-made one to a large extent. Hence, I feel, it is our duty to make India hunger-free.
